The drivers who improve fastest are the ones who reflect on their races. mental apex racing is a complete post-race debrief system for iRacing that gives you a coach and the tools to learn from every session.
Your coach captures incidents, overtakes and lap times automatically from iRacing, so you can reflect on what happened and turn every race into real progress.
Windows app connects to iRacing and telemetry files to capture race events as they happen.
Your coach identifies critical moments such as incidents, overtakes and best laps to organize them on a racing timeline.
Process what happened, spot patterns you couldn't see in the moment, and build your plan for next time. Your post-race debrief, ready when you are.

The app captures telemetry automatically while you race, detecting incidents, position changes and more. Your coach already has the full context, so you spend time learning, not explaining.
Automatic timeline with every critical moment: incidents, overtakes, fastest laps and more. See what matters most at a glance.
Your coach tracks your mental game across races to surface insights: "You tense up under pressure", "You perform better when focused on process", "Race start anxiety affects your first 3 laps". The patterns that are hard to see when you're in the moment become your personalized performance roadmap.
Click any timestamp to jump your replay to that exact moment. Spot patterns across races you'd never notice otherwise.

How do F1 drivers develop their mental game? Through structured post-race debriefs. mental apex racing brings this professional approach to iRacing.
Mercedes, McLaren, and Red Bull all have dedicated sports psychologists. Nico Rosberg used mental coaching and meditation to beat Lewis Hamilton in 2016. Alain Prost called psychology "maybe bigger than the car itself."
Why? Because the mental game determines who executes under pressure. You face the same challenges: anxiety before race starts, frustration after contact, overthinking during close battles. The stakes are different. The skills are the same.
I'm a solo dev with a full-time job and a family. I love iRacing, but I get maybe 2-3 races in a week if I'm lucky so I need to make them count. I recently started open-wheel racing the FF1600.
Reflection helped me improve, so I tried using ChatGPT as a coach. But it was missing all the context. I had to explain every race from scratch, and it kept losing track of my goals across sessions.
So I built the coach I wanted. One that already knows what happened, helps me process it, and remembers coaching goals and patterns across races. This is a passion project I built because I needed it, and I think you might too.
Completely free while I'm building with beta testers.
With ChatGPT, you spend time explaining instead of learning. Your coach knows you lost P3 at turn 7, had contact on lap 4, and ran your best sector times in the final stint. With ChatGPT, you get generic advice because it doesn't know what actually happened. And it forgets everything between sessions, so you can't spot patterns across your races or build on previous conversations. Your coach here captures your race, helps you process what happened, and remembers your coaching journey so every debrief builds on the last.
No, and it's not trying to. Those tools show you lap analysis, racing lines, and where you're losing time. mental apex is about the mental game: managing anxiety, processing frustration, building consistency. Complete performance needs both sides. Use Garage61 to find where you're slow, use this to actually execute under pressure.
Yes, you log in directly through iRacing's official authentication system (OAuth), so your password never touches our servers. This is the same "Sign in with..." pattern you see with Google or Steam. iRacing has to approve apps before they can use this login method, which is why we're listed as an official integration.
Beta is completely free. I'm not charging until I'm confident it's genuinely useful and high-quality. Join the waitlist and you'll get access as I expand testing.
